My Stance On Issues

Voter Integrity
I am a firm believer in voter integrity. I believe that on Election Day we should have paper ballots, one day voting at precinct level with Voter I.D. required. A lot of voters don't trust voting machines. Also, Orange County can save millions of dollars by getting out of the Voters Choice Act. Election Day should not be an entire month. Because of the VCA, drop boxes are open for a whole month, which requires truck rentals and daily personnel to retrieve all of the ballots. It should not take an entire month to count all the votes to see who won each election.

Budget
In late June 2025, The OC Board of Supervisors voted to give themselves a 25% pay increase ($49,000) as part of their new budget. The current occupant of the District 2 seat said that this increase was needed because it would "attract talented professionals into this role." I believe that it was morally wrong for the Board of Supervisors to vote on giving themselves a raise, especially one of this size. It was a big slap in the face to the residents of Orange County. I can promise that if elected, not only will I be a strong advocate in being against pay raises for the BOS throughout my term, but I will also NEVER vote to give the BOS a raise. We must also be fiscally responsible when it comes to how we spend on public protection, general government services, infrastructure/environmental resources, and community services.

Homelessness
The affordability crisis continues to affect all of California, not just Orange County. The decriminalization of drugs combined with the nationwide mental health crisis are all the biggest reasons why California leads the way in vagrancy. California also spends billions of dollars on homelessness and it only continues to get worse. In order to tackle this issue, I believe that we must address drug addiction and mental health challenges.

Park Space
I believe that park space is essential for everyone's mental health. That's why it is imperative that we protect all park space and do not allow any open or park space that is still left in Orange County to be redeveloped. I support building more biking trails as well.

Transparency
In the wake of what has happened in the last year with the scandal of a former supervisor, I believe that this reinforces the fact that as an OC Supervisor, it is vital to be open and transparent with our constituents. If elected, I know that it is my duty to serve the residents of District 2 and Orange County to the best of my ability and also be honest always.
