My Stance On Issues

Salary
In late June 2025, The OC Board of Supervisors voted to give themselves a 25% pay increase ($49,000) as part of their new budget. The current occupant of the District 2 seat said that this increase was needed because it would "attract talented professionals into this role." If I am elected, I will propose eliminating this 25% increase. Supervisors already made a good salary. Giving themselves a 25% pay raise this year, in my opinion, is just a slap in the face to our struggling constituents who are trying to make ends meet.

Homelessness
The affordability crisis continues to affect all of California, not just Orange County. The decriminalization of drugs combined with the nationwide mental health crisis are all the biggest reasons why California leads the way in vagrancy. California also spends billions of dollars on homelessness and it only continues to get worse. In order to tackle this issue, I believe that we must address drug addiction and mental health challenges.

Park Space
I believe that park space is essential for everyone's mental health. That's why it is imperative that we protect all park space and do not allow any open or park space that is still left in Orange County to be redeveloped. I support building more biking trails as well.

Prosperity
With the size of our economy here in Orange County, we have the potential to be an economic powerhouse. As your supervisor, I will support policies that will provide incentives for local businesses to hire locally so our residents will be able to have jobs that pay sufficiently to keep up with the high cost of living. With so many regulations at the state level, local businesses are being forced to either close down completely or hire workers to work "under the table" in order to make profit.

Transparency
In the wake of what has happened in the last year with the scandal of a former supervisor, I believe that this reinforces the fact that as an OC Supervisor, it is vital to be open and transparent with our constituents. If elected, I know that it is my duty to serve the residents of District 2 and Orange County to the best of my ability and also be honest always.

Fiscal Responsibility
I believe that it is the Board of Supervisors responsibility to make sure that county funds aren't wasted but are spent wisely. We need to tighten the belt when it comes to how we spend on certain programs. I look forward to hearing public input on this as I'm on the campaign trail.
